How hard is it to become a physical therapist?
The answer to this question depends on a number of factors, including the level of education and training required to become a physical therapist. In the United States, physical therapists must earn a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited physical therapy program. Once an individual has earned a DPT, they must then pass a national physical therapy exam in order to become licensed to practice physical therapy. After passing the exam, physical therapists must complete a certain amount of continuing education credits every year in order to maintain their license. The requirements to become a physical therapist vary from country to country. In some countries, physical therapists may only need to complete a two-year Associate’s degree in order to practice. However, the majority of countries require physical therapists to have a four-year Bachelor’s degree or higher in order to practice.
